Hundreds of Tibetans in exile braved the rain and cold Sunday in India’s northern city of Dharmsala, where the exiled government is based, and voted for their new political leader as the current officeholder’s five-year term nears its end.

China warns India over Dalai Lama, India dismisses the warning
China on Friday objected to the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama Dalai Lama’s Decemer 10 meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan during a children’s summit saying India must respect China’s “core interests” to avoid “any disturbance” to the bilateral ties.
